January 15, 2006: Thanks to everyone who came out to see the show last night. It was quite possibly the best show we have ever played. The building was packed beyond capacity, and the crowd was full of energy. The Nameless kicked things off with a few great covers and setting the stage for the next few bands. Morrows End took the stage second and delivered their own brand of heavy alternative music, rounding out their great set with a cover of Korn's "Blind." Afterglow pounded the audience next, taking them from moments of soaring rock melodies to heavy riffs with raw, unadulterated power that set the crowd to moshing. After The Fall changed the mood a little, playing a set of rap-rock that may breathe new life into the genre. Fifth to perform was Trust/Kill Pride. After getting set up, they turned the audience into a sea of mosh pits with the seething "Blood And Toothpaste." The floor was already buckling as they broke into a crowd favorite, "Something Wicked This Way Comes." Next on the set list was the heavy tribute to The Devil's Rejects, "Here To Do The Devil's Work," a song which set off another round of moshing that continued throughout the next two songs. "Breakthrough Beside" and "Heed All Warnings" saw what looked like organized kung-fu fighting on the floor, and an accidental exposure. Pyro lost his pants while moshing with the crowd, and once back onstage, his cock fell right out, setting off a roar of applause. The final song of the night, "Mobscene," was the perfect heavy ending to a venomous and outright destructive set, ending with a duel between Reverend S' face-melting guitar solo and Kreeper's incredible drum solo. RLD slowed things down a bit and finished off the night with a blend of alternative and adult contemporary. Afterglow took first place, with Trust/Kill Pride close behind in second. TKP came away with $124 after selling 15 cds and getting their cut of the prize money. Every penny is being put towards recording the new cd. Sadly, no pictures were taken during the show, so none will be available for this website...but we will make sure we get some for you at our next show. As always, Keep It Evil...
